The Common Facility Workshop at Micro
Small Medium Entreprises Development Institute,Ludhiana has a specialised Hi-Tech Cell
This Hi-Tech Cell is equipped with Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Machining Centres (Horizontal & Vertical) and Lathes.
These HMT make machines are equipped with latest powerful features to meet requirements of high productivity and flexibility at low cost. The Machine Centres capabilities are strengthened by
software's like Milling, Drilling Pattern, Polar Co-ordinate Programming, Blue Print Programming, Block Transfer Function & Graphic Simulation. In order to prepare complicated programming and to directly load the same to the Machining Centres control unit, a software named "Caps Mill Conversional Automatic Programming" has also been installed in the Computer System with Pentium III processor. To support these machines Digitised Toll Pre-Setter, High Metal removing Tooling Systems (Mitsubishi make), Precision Measuring Instruments are also available in the cell.
Specialised training has been provided to the officials for programming and to operate these sphisticated machines and equipments.
