Entrepreneurship Development Programmes
Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP) are being organised as a regular training activity to cultivate the latent qualities of youth (both men and women) by enlightening them on various aspects that are necessary to be considered while setting up Small Scale Industries. EDPs have attracted the attention of the educated unemployed youth. Over the years, these programmes have created confidence in our youth, which has lead to self-employment and creation of furthur employment.

Development Institute,Ludhiana regularly conducts other Specialised Training Programmes to meet the special training needs of the Small Scale Industry. The most popular Specialised Training Programmes have been the following:
1. Specialised Training Programme on "How to Export"
2. Specialised Training Programme on "Packaging for Exports".
This programme acquiants SSI exporters of the latest packaging techniques/standards. These programmes are organised in association with Indian Institute of Packaging, which provides the necessary expertise in the matter. The basic
objective of this scheme is to impart training to small scale
manufacturer of packaging technology, for enhancing effectiveness in various aspects of package aesthetics, style, etc. to improve the overall appearance, durability and value of the products. Every year, on an average, 20 such prorammes are organised by SISIs for various industry groups.
